Our Church Community
At Silchester Church of England Primary School, we are proud to serve a diverse and vibrant community. Our Christian values of Compassion, Courage and Respect guide everything we do, helping every child and adult in our school family to learn, flourish and build strong foundations for the future.
We enjoy a close and meaningful partnership with St Mary’s Church, located in the heart of Silchester village. This connection enriches school life in many ways. Children take part in collective worship, celebrate key Christian festivals, explore faith through Religious Education, and enjoy joint projects that strengthen the bond between church and school. One of the highlights of the year is our whole‑school pilgrimage, where we walk together across the fields to St Mary’s—a tradition that brings our community together and deepens our shared sense of belonging.
We are also fortunate to be supported by Reverend Karen, a familiar and friendly presence in school. Her regular visits and involvement play an important role in nurturing our Christian vision and supporting the spiritual development of our children.
