Living Our Values

At our school, Compassion, Courage and Respect are far more than words displayed on a wall — they are the guiding principles that shape the way we learn, interact and grow together as a community. These values sit at the heart of everything we do, and we are deeply committed to helping every child understand, develop and live them out in meaningful ways.

We believe children learn best when values are practised, not just taught. That’s why we create regular opportunities for our pupils to explore what compassion, courage and respect look like in action. Whether supporting a friend, trying something challenging, or showing kindness in small moments, we celebrate the many ways our children demonstrate these qualities.

Our staff actively notice, praise and acknowledge when children are living our values, recognising that each child expresses them in their own unique way.

Below, you’ll find real examples of our values being brought to life across the school. The coloured quotes you’ll see are the children’s own words — authentic reflections of how they understand and experience compassion, courage and respect in their everyday school life.
