Pupil and Sports Premium

Pupil Premium at Silchester Church of England Primary School

At Silchester Church of England Primary School we are committed to ensuring that every pupil has the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of their background or circumstances.  Our school vision “for everyone to flourish,” “being a place of love, belonging and family” and “having a heart for people, inspiring everyone to be the best version of themselves,” is central to everything we do, and this is especially true when it comes to our approach to Pupil Premium funding.

Closing the Gap

We understand that some of our pupils may face additional challenges or barriers to learning, and our Pupil Premium funding is specifically designed to help us address these gaps. By carefully analysing the needs of our Pupil Premium pupils, we are able to tailor our provision and support to ensure that they receive the targeted help they need to succeed.

Enhancing Provision

Our Pupil Premium funding allows us to enhance the educational provision for our eligible pupils, whether that's through additional one-on-one or small group support, access to specialist interventions, or the provision of essential resources and equipment. We work closely with our pupils and their families to identify the most effective ways to support their learning and development.

Providing Opportunities

At Silchester Church of England Primary, we believe that education is about more than just academic achievement. That's why we use our Pupil Premium funding to provide our eligible pupils with a wide range of enriching experiences and opportunities, from educational visits and after-school clubs to music lessons and sports activities. By nurturing the whole child, we are able to build their confidence, resilience, and sense of belonging within our school community.

Enriching Extra-Curricular Activities

Alongside our core academic provision, we place a strong emphasis on the importance of extra-curricular activities in supporting the development of our pupils. Our Pupil Premium funding allows us to offer a diverse range of clubs and activities, ensuring that all of our pupils have the chance to explore their interests and passions.

As a school that values friendship, compassion, and respect, we are committed to using our Pupil Premium funding in a way that truly reflects our vision and values. By working closely with our pupils and their families, we are able to provide the tailored support and enriching experiences that help to close the gap and ensure that every child at Silchester Church of England Primary has the opportunity to thrive.
